Academic Freedom and Free Speech in Danger...

Dear Friends + Interlocutors,

This article in The New Yorker by Harvard Professor Louis Menard is the first qualified support of the pro-Palestinian protesters that I have seen in the mainstream media. Essentially, the issue at hand is free speech and presenting an alternative narrative to the establishment narrative propagated by the USG and the American MSM.

College students are prone to being idealistic and taking a deeper dive into the issues of the day. They have the time to do that. Once they did, it became clear—as it would to any reasonable person—that the dispossession of the Palestinians and the unbridled USG support of Zionism is a scandal.

The mass murder in Gaza, enabled by that worm, Joe Biden, and both American political parties, brought the topic into focus and created the non-violent protests. No one else was doing anything. In essence, the students were acting as the conscience of America.

Now the establishment—at the urging of the American Israel Lobby directed by that war criminal, Bibi Netanyahoo—has moved to shut down the protests by expelling students and arresting them. The protestors have turned violent and the cops have been called in.

Who is to blame? At bottom, the Tel Aviv-Washington Axis and the Israel Lobby are to blame. The long term injustice and persecution being meted out to the Palestinians had to be opposed, and the college students in their own imperfect way did that. Just like they protested the outrageous Vietnam war back when.
