The “liberal” establishment scribblers are having massive coronaries in response to the Oval Office shout-down of Zelensky. They are playing the Putin card: Trump is a puppet of Putin. They are determined to hold onto their cherished narrative of Putin as the ultimate boogeyman, and they need the two men to be regarded as co-conspirators in wrecking the “liberal” world order. 

Notice you never hear these same sanctimonious commentators suggesting that Trump is a puppet of Netanyahoo, even though Trump has given the farm away to Israel, as he did in his first administration. Trump’s bad attitude towards the Palestinians and his slavish policy with respect to Tel Aviv is an outrage. 

This completely one-sided Middle East scenario differs very little in substance from that of the phony, despicable Biden-Blinken-Harris administration. Washington has been and remains under Trump a full partner in Israel’s genocide, not to mention the occupation of southern Lebanon and Syria. It’s all been “made in Washington”. As was the stupid war in Ukraine. 

As for the Oval Office brouhaha itself, you’d best view the recent discussion between Professor John Mearsheimer and Lt. Col. Danny Davis:

Zelensky and crazed right-wing Ukrainians got conned by the West to act as Washington’s catspaw to dethrone President Putin. That harebrained American neocon project has blown up. We can’t just let things slide towards an endless, open-ended war. Why should we? Let’s get out and stay out.
