President Trump now owns the carnage in both Ukraine and Gaza according to John Mearsheimer. It seems to me that Trump could defuse both conflicts by simply cutting off arms and financial aid to Ukraine and Israel--and demanding they enter into genuine negotiations for a final settlement with Russia and the Palestinians respectively. 

As it is, Washington has been an active belligerent in both Ukraine and Gaza, targeting Russia and the occupied Palestinians in Gaza and on the West Bank. Ukraine and Tel Aviv are dependent on Washington's support to continue the shooting. Indeed, it can be argued that Washington is responsible for both wars. Who needs this? 

Israel in particular now feels it is entitled to commit genocide thanks to decades of unseemly Washington subservience to the Israel Lobby. Israel has been stealing Palestinian land and instituting apartheid in Palestine for a very long time thanks to Washington which has done nothing to stop it. So why not the next step? Mass murder. 

Why not, indeed? Washington has done nothing to stop it.
