Looks like Sy Hersh was on the money. Trump is attacking Iran this weekend, not two weeks from now.

Hard to believe an American President could be so wildly irresponsible. Trump must feel confident he can get away with it. After all, Israel owns Capitol Hill just like it owns Trump. The tail wags the dog. For all intents and purposes, the tail is the dog. It’s embarrassing.

In a sane world, the Democrats would call for Trump’s impeachment and they would be joined by a good many Republicans, because this time impeachment would not be for phony reasons like in Trump's first term. But nothing will happen.

Trump has no authority and no reason to bomb Iran. To make it legit inside the U.S.A., the U.S. Congress would need retroactively to declare him an Emperor with full powers to go to war, attack any country, absent any consultation with or input from Congress. 

De Facto, we have reached that stage in history already. This is a rerun of the Roman Empire. For us, it started with FDR. Bye-bye any semblance of following the U.S. Constitution. It is a nullity. We have come a long, long way from Valley Forge.
