REPORT: Trump Bowed to Netanyahu’s Demand to Exclude Lebanon From Iran War Ceasefire

There has been a lot of confusion over whether the Iran War ceasefire includes Lebanon. The latest reporting suggests Donald Trump intended it to, but flipped his stance after a scolding from Benjamin Netanyahu.

Multiple diplomatic sources told CBS on Thursday that the president, Pakistani mediators, and Iran’s foreign minister all originally agreed that the truce covered Lebanon, and a New York Times report revealed that the White House signed off on Pakistan announcing Lebanon’s inclusion. Then Trump’s phone rang.

The president reportedly changed his tune after a father-daughter-like phone call with Benjamin Netanyahu, in which the Israeli prime minister demanded that the ceasefire not interfere with his terrorism in Lebanon. Trump bent the knee and obeyed.

In 2001, Netanyahu bragged on camera that “America can easily be moved.” Boy, was he right.
